Security Engineer (Web Proxy)

Description

New contract demand for an initial contract run from 31/12/2025 to join our client's Web Proxy team as a Security Engineer. The role involves supporting both project and BAU activities on the platform. Key responsibilities include assisting in migrating Bluecoat Proxy to Symantec, requiring prior technical experience with either Bluecoat or Symantec. Additionally, a background in Infrastructure Engineering across Windows platforms, with Active Directory experience as a bonus, is sought.

This role includes an on-call rota, approximately 1 in every 5 weeks, with additional pay, and there is potential for extension into 2026.

Requirements and skills include:

1. Maintaining Web Proxy platforms and products to ensure they are current and operational.
2. Supporting Web Proxy Team activities to uphold integrity in line with technical roadmaps and change demands.
3. Providing technical support to Web Proxy Services and relevant infrastructure platforms.
4. Comfort with documentation and governance processes.
5. Prior technical experience with Bluecoat Proxy or Symantec.
