Salary: £40,000-£45,000 (inclusive of accommodation)

Contract: Full-time, live-in position (Self-contained on-site flat provided)

Overview

An experienced and discreet Security Driver & Property Support Operative is required to support a private family based near Dorking.

This is a live-in role combining professional driving, low-level residential security, and hands-on property support. It would suit a calm, mature individual, ideally with a military background, seeking a stable, long-term position within a respectful, family-oriented environment.

The role is a long-term engagement, with potential progression opportunities within the wider organisation for the right individual.

Key Responsibilities Driving & Close Support

• Provide safe, professional driving for the principals and family members as required
• Maintain vehicles to a high standard (cleanliness, fuel, basic checks)
• Conduct route planning and situational awareness to ensure safe transit
• Remain flexible to occasional changes in schedule

Residential Security

• Provide low-profile, discreet residential security presence
• Monitor alarm and CCTV systems (integrated within the on-site accommodation)
• Respond appropriately to security alerts or disturbances
• Maintain awareness of the local environment and report concerns where necessary

Property & General Support

• Assist with light property maintenance tasks when not engaged in driving duties
• Support general estate upkeep (e.g. mowing, assisting handyman, basic practical tasks)
• Be willing to "muck in" and provide practical support where needed
• Maintain a proactive and helpful attitude at all times

Candidate Profile

• Former military strongly preferred (not essential)
• Holds a valid SIA licence (essential)
• Full, clean UK driving licence (essential)
• Calm, steady and emotionally intelligent
• Comfortable working closely with a private family
• Discreet, trustworthy and highly professional
• Willing to undertake hands-on tasks when required
• Practical mindset with basic maintenance capability
• Looking for a stable, pleasant two-to-three-year role

This is not a high-intensity close protection role. It requires maturity, common sense and quiet competence rather than ego or forceful presence.
