Job Description
Secondary Supply Teacher - Flexible short-term and long-term opportunities available immediately

These flexible opportunities are ideal for teachers who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different secondary school settings. You will be supporting pupils inStevenage and the surrounding areas, delivering high quality learning experiences across a range of subjects.

Duties as Secondary Supply Teacher:
  • Deliver engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 in your subject specialism
  • Follow school planning or adapt lessons to meet the needs of all learners
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively and promote a positive learning environment
  • Assess pupil progress and provide constructive feedback where appropriate
  • Support pupils in developing subject knowledge, confidence, and transferable skills
  • Work collaboratively with school staff to ensure a smooth handover and consistent learning experience
  • Uphold safeguarding and child protection procedures at all times
Ideal Secondary Supply Teacher:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching in secondary schools across Key Stages 3 and/or 4
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills as a Secondary Supply Teacher
  • Adaptable and confident working across different subjects and year groups
  • A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
