Milk Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic PE Teacher to join a supportive and ambitious secondary school in Rotherham. This exciting opportunity involves teaching Physical Education across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering engaging lessons that promote physical fitness, teamwork, resilience, and a lifelong enjoyment of sport and physical activity.
This is a full-time position, available for an immediate start or from September 2026.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and deliver high-quality PE lessons in line with the national curriculum
- Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
- Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching strategies to meet individual learning needs
- Encourage students to develop confidence, teamwork, leadership skills, and a passion for physical activity
- Support students in developing practical skills, sportsmanship, and healthy lifestyles
- Contribute to extracurricular sports clubs, fixtures, and enrichment activities where appropriate
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and wider school staff to support student achievement
- Uphold the values and professional standards of Milk Education and our partner schools
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
- Specialism in Physical Education, with the ability to teach KS3 and KS4
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
- Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one through Milk Education)
