Temporary SENCO (Secondary)

We are currently working with a secondary school in Bromley that is seeking an experienced and committed Temporary SENCO to join their team as soon as possible, for the remainder of the current academic year.

This role has been created to add capacity to the SEN department, and the successful candidate will be line-managed by the school's current SENCO.

The Role

• Supporting the day-to-day operation of the SEN department
• Working collaboratively with the existing SENCO to manage SEN provision
• Supporting pupils with EHCPs and additional needs across the secondary phase
• Liaising with teaching staff, support staff, parents and external agencies
• Contributing to reviews, paperwork and SEN systems as required
• Ensuring provision aligns with school policies and statutory requirements

The Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience working as a SENCO or Deputy / Assistant SENCO in a secondary setting
• Good working knowledge of EHCPs, SEND Code of Practice and secondary-phase SEN provision
• Strong organisation and communication skills
• Able to work effectively as part of a team and provide additional capacity where needed
• Available to start immediately on a temporary basis
