Reed Education are delighted to be recruiting for a Humanities Teacher on behalf of a fantastic secondary school in Northampton, starting in September 2026.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive and well-resourced school with a strong leadership team, excellent behaviour standards, and a commitment to both student achievement and staff development. The school is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Humanities Teacher who can inspire students and deliver engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
Applications are welcomed from candidates with experience teaching subjects such as History, Geography, Religious Education, or broader Humanities disciplines.
The Role
- Deliver engaging and effective Humanities lessons across KS3 and KS4.
- Plan and prepare high-quality lessons that support student progress and attainment.
- Assess, monitor, and report on student achievement.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
- Differentiate learning to meet the needs of students of varying abilities.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high standards of teaching and learning.
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience teaching Humanities within UK secondary schools is essential.
- Strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills.
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
- Passionate about inspiring students and fostering a love of learning.
- Ability to engage learners and bring Humanities subjects to life.
- QTS is advantageous but not essential.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
