Job Description
Secondary History Teacher
BexleyStart: ASAP Contract Until End of the Academic Year
We are working with a supportive secondary school in Bexley that is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic History Teacher to join their team on a full-time basis, starting as soon as possible and continuing until the end of the academic year.
The Role
- Teaching History at KS3 and KS4
- Planning and delivering engaging, well-structured lessons
- Assessing pupil progress and adapting teaching to meet a range of abilities
- Maintaining high expectations for behaviour, engagement and achievement
- Working collaboratively within a well-established humanities department
The Ideal Candidate
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching History in a UK secondary school
- Strong subject knowledge and confident classroom management
- Able to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- Reliable, adaptable and available for a fixed-term commitment
