Overview

Join us for the summer at Soho House! This is a seasonal role offered on a fixed-term contract through to September 2026.

At Soho House, a Host plays an essential role in welcoming and greeting members and guests, managing the table booking systems and supporting with floor team to seat current bookings and prepare tables for the next booking.

Essential responsibilities include ensuring members have an enjoyable experience, delivering excellent service from initial greeting and seating, and supporting floor team where needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Welcome every member by name and guest with open arms and hospitable manner
  • Respond to guest inquiries and requests promptly, friendly and efficient
  • Manage the Opera/OpenTable booking system to ensure members seated correctly
  • In real time ensure any member related concerns are addressed, action items set, and management notified
  • Build relationships with members and guest, communicating red flags and positive feedback to management and wider team
  • Support floor team to prepare tables by setting up linens, cutlery and glasses
  • Have outstanding knowledge of menus to provide detailed info on food, drink, allergies and pairings
  • Resolve member complaints, handling all interactions with highest level of hospitality and professionalism
  • Uphold discretion and professionalism, especially when serving VIPs and PWKs
  • Contribute to team success, attending briefings, tastings, and assisting colleagues where needed
What we are looking for
  • 2-3 years' experience in similar capacity
  • Thrives in fast paced, high volume environments, maintains calm, solves quickly and effectively under pressure
  • Hospitable, approachable, passionate about customer service and respectful towards colleagues and guests
  • Demonstrates competency as outlined in training schedule and Club School
  • Able to work flexible shifts and schedules, including weekends and holidays as needed
  • Ability to take direction, work in team environment and autonomously
