About the Role

Are you passionate about Agile methodologies? Do you believe that greater value can be achieved by working in motivated, empowered teams?

At SmartWay, we're on fire - and to keep growing together, we're looking for our next Agile Consultant to join a final client project based in Barcelona.

What do we expect from you?

  • Lead Agile project processes using Scrum and Kanban frameworks.
  • Facilitate key ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, refinements, and planning sessions.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Owners and stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Coordinate with other Scrum Masters to ensure consistency and alignment across teams.
  • Remove impediments and coach the Scrum team on how to overcome them.
  • Help resolve team conflicts and address any issues that may arise.
  • Work hand in hand with Product Owners to build and maintain a clear, prioritized backlog.
  • Foster self-organization within Scrum and development teams.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Provide regular updates on project progress and team performance.

What do we value positively?

  • A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • A high level of English is essential - yes, high! You'll be working in international teams, and as you know, Agile is all about communication and collaboration. Without fluent English, that just won't happen.
  • A background in engineering is a must.
  • Previous international experience (study and/or work abroad, or collaboration with global teams).
  • Certified Scrum Master and/or Kanban Practitioner.
  • Solid understanding of Agile principles and practices.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and mentoring skills.
  • Hands-on experience working in Scrum and/or Kanban teams.
  • Familiarity with coaching techniques to address team gaps.
  • Ability to lead and collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in changing environments.
  • Self-driven with a strong focus and sense of ownership.
  • Proficiency in project management tools.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

What can you expect from this opportunity?

  • A multidisciplinary team of professionals working collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
  • Permanent contract with flexible compensation options.
  • Flexible working hours, including reduced working days on Fridays and throughout August.
  • Hybrid work model: combine in-office presence with 2 remote workdays per week.
  • Offices located in Sant Cugat del Vallès, easily accessible via public transport (Sant Joan station).
