SCM MDM

For one of our Life Science clients, we are currently looking for a master data manager ensuring the supply chain master data.

This person will play a crucial role in managing and governing master data in accordance with established data governance policies and procedures. This position requires a deep understanding of product flows, business scenarios, and supply chain management, particularly within the pharmaceutical domain.

This person will be responsible for the following:

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as a Business Data Steward, ensuring adherence to master data governance policies and process designs.
• Execute tasks in Implementation Reports (IR) as requested by the coordinator, escalating any deviations in a timely manner.
• Understand and implement master data based on various business scenarios.
• Plan and manage personal work, ensuring timelines are met and keeping other business data stewards informed about status and outlook.
• Apply general master data rules and procedures relevant to assigned tasks.
• Utilize systems and procedures involved in the packaging materials process, including executing mass updates upon business request.
• Manage data quality by using operational tools and procedures for data rules-based checks, contributing actively to meeting data standards and flagging necessary adjustments.
• Identify and flag risks and potential issues related to data quality, supporting root cause analysis and resolution processes.
• Execute periodic deactivation requests and signal potential candidates for deactivation.
• Support and participate in projects, ensuring SCM master data is managed in accordance with project agreements.
• Perform and document tests, and support design and approval processes during projects.
• Handle small, ad hoc change requests, ensuring compliance with standards and guidelines, and communicate status and outlook to requestors.
• Assist in creating and updating documentation with practical insights and expert knowledge.
• Share knowledge and collaborate with other business data stewards to enhance team performance.

Qualifications:

• In-depth understanding of master data management models, tools, and methods to maintain master data quality standards.
• Comprehensive knowledge of supply chain flows and their relationship with SCM master data.
• Hands-on experience with operational master data processes in common ERP systems (SAP), ideally within the pharmaceutical industry.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and contribute to team performance.
• Ability to stay updated with new developments in the master data domain and apply this knowledge to improve work processes.
• Strong project participation skills, including execution and documentation of tests.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to manage and document change requests.
