The Vacancy

The role of the Scientific Officer is to support the clinical evaluation and regulation of medicines, including herbal medicines in Ireland and to provide technical support to the national licensing section and the Director of Human Products Authorisation and Registration (HPAR). Specifically, the Scientific Officer role will include project management of specific case types and their associated activities for the National Licensing Team and the coordination, review, and finalisation of documentation, to facilitate the efficient licensing and life-cycle management of medicinal products.

The Scientific Officer will work closely and maintain effective working relationships with the HPAR centralised and clinical trial section and with members of the HPAR Department as a whole, to ensure effective co-ordination and co-operation across all areas of assessment and to ensure that the objectives of the HPAR Department are met, in accordance with the goals of the HPRA Strategic Plan.
