Science Technician

Secondary Science Technician - Start Date: September 2026 - Contract: Temporary with the possibility of becoming permanent - Location: Sheffield City Centre

Role

• Prepare, set up, and clear away equipment and materials for practical science lessons.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure resources are organised and readily available.
• Support the safe and effective delivery of practical activities in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
• Monitor stock levels and order equipment and consumables as required.
• Ensure laboratories comply with health and safety regulations.

Ideal Candidate

• Has excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Can work independently as well as part of a busy team.
• Has a commitment to maintaining high standards of health and safety.
• Has previous experience in a laboratory or school environment (desirable but not essential).
• Is reliable, flexible, and enthusiastic about supporting young people's education.
