£32,916 - £51,048 per annum (MPS/UPS)

We are seeking an intellectually curious and high energy Qualified Science Teacher (QTS) with a strong Chemistry specialism for a permanent position at our partner Secondary School in St Neots, commencing this September. The school is renowned for its commitment to the sciences and is looking for a practitioner who can deliver the curriculum with both academic rigor and real world relevance.

Responsibilities
  • Chemistry Specialism: Lead the delivery of Chemistry across KS3 and KS4, with a specific focus on preparing Year 11 and A Level cohorts for high stakes examinations.
  • Balanced Science Delivery: Contribute to the wider Science department by delivering Biology and Physics modules at Key Stage 3, ensuring a holistic scientific foundation for all students.
  • Laboratory Excellence: Design and facilitate complex practical experiments, utilising the school's modern laboratory facilities and working in tandem with the technician team.
  • Data Informed Pedagogy: Utilise assessment data to identify learning gaps and implement targeted interventions to ensure every student achieves their potential.
  • Curriculum Enrichment: Contribute to the development of new schemes of work that reflect contemporary scientific advancements and the Green Chemistry agenda.
  • Pastoral Stewardship: Act as a Form Tutor, providing consistent academic and emotional support to a dedicated group of learners.
