Career Teachers is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Science Teacher to work in a supportive secondary school in the Sheffield (S13) area. This role is ideal for a teacher who can inspire curiosity, deliver engaging lessons, and develop students' understanding of scientific concepts across the curriculum. Key Responsibilities of the Science Teacher

• Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
• Teach engaging and challenging lessons in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics in line with the national curriculum
• Assess student progress and provide clear, constructive feedback to support achievement
• Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment that encourages student participation
• Prepare and oversee practical experiments while ensuring all health and safety procedures are followed
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to support departmental goals and contribute to whole-school initiatives

Requirements for the Science Teacher Role

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification
• Experience teaching Science at secondary level
• Strong subject knowledge across one or more Science specialisms
• Ability to inspire and motivate students of varying abilities
• Confident behaviour management and excellent organisational skills
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one
