Role: Science Teacher
Location: Park School, Chipping Norton, OX7 5QH
Salary: Up to £48,000 per annum (depending on experience, not pro rata)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday 8:30am - 4:30pm
Contract: Permanent, Term-Time
Start: September 2026

This is far more than a teaching role. You'll bring Science to life through creative, practical and engaging lessons that spark curiosity, encourage exploration and build confidence. Working closely with colleagues, therapists and support staff, you'll create a nurturing learning environment where every pupil feels valued, supported and inspired to succeed.
What You'll Be Doing
- Deliver engaging, differentiated Science lessons that inspire curiosity and support outstanding pupil progress.
- Plan creative schemes of work and learning activities that meet the individual needs of every learner.
- Monitor, assess and celebrate pupil achievement, adapting teaching to maximise progress.
- Work collaboratively with the Senior Leadership Team and colleagues to develop an innovative and engaging Science curriculum.
- Promote pupils' academic, personal, social and emotional development through high-quality teaching and positive relationships.
- Embed SMSC and wider learning opportunities throughout your teaching.
- Use a range of creative teaching strategies and practical learning experiences to engage and motivate pupils.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school and support our culture of continuous improvement.
About You
We're looking for someone who is:
- Qualified with QTS (or equivalent), a PGCE and a relevant degree.
- Passionate about inspiring young people through Science.
- Experienced in, or eager to develop expertise in, supporting pupils with SEN, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), learning difficulties and complex needs.
- Creative, adaptable and able to personalise learning to meet individual needs.
- Calm, resilient and skilled at building positive, trusting relationships with pupils.
- A strong communicator who enjoys working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Committed to safeguarding, inclusion and helping every young person achieve their full potential.
