Science Education Administrator (MSBP Training)

This role within the Millennium Seed Bank's training team will provide administrative support for trainees, science visitors and training courses. Responsibilities include managing training bookings, maintaining a contact database, arranging travel for trainees and administering invoices and fees using finance management software. The postholder will identify and share best practice for the effective administration of training with science education colleagues.
The role is based at Wakehurst with the option of regular home working, subject to operational requirements.
ResponsibilitiesProvide administrative support for trainees, science visitors and training courses.
Manage training bookings and maintain a contact database.
Arrange travel for trainees and administer invoices and fees via finance management software.
Identify and share best practice for the effective administration of training with colleagues.
QualificationsExpert in Microsoft applications and recent experience in an administrative role.
- Proven ability to work both as part of a team and independently.
- Excellent organisational skills and a professional approach.
- Experience in procurement of services and products.
- Strong numerical, verbal and written communication skills.
Desirable:
- Experience within a training and education team in a scientific organisation.
- Experience with virtual learning platforms for the management and delivery of training.
£29,692 per annum (pro rata) Band B
