Education Accountant

£400 - £450 per day inside IR35

Remote

3-6 month contract with immediate start

This is a specialist and vital role for a council in the north of England, working closely with schools in difficulty to provide strategic advice and financial planning, as well as scrutiny to their spending. The role will therefore work closely with Head Teachers and School Governors to drive improvement and empower staff members.

Reporting into the Head of Finance - Education, the post holder will need strong experience managing schools finance, with an understanding of the pressures schools face, as well as their funding streams including DSG. The role's a great opportunity to have an impact on the education of the area and will suit a dedicated and passionate schools finance professional. Occasional travel to northern England will be needed to meet with the team, but predominant home working is acceptable.
