Job Title: Science Technician (Secondary School)

Salary: £110 - £130 per day

Job Overview

Support practical science lessons in a busy secondary school setting. Manage laboratory equipment, chemicals, and health and safety procedures, and work closely with teachers to bring science experiments to life.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of the science curriculum by preparing practical experiments.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure all health and safety standards are met.
• Manage stock, prepare resources for lessons, and handle safe storage and control of chemicals.
• Collaborate with teaching staff to support day to day teaching needs.

Qualifications

• A science related qualification (desirable).
• Experience working in a school laboratory or similar environment.
• Strong understanding of health and safety procedures, including CLEAPSS (desirable).
• Experience preparing scientific equipment and practical experiments.
• Excellent organisation and time management skills.
• Proactive and reliable approach to supporting teaching staff.
