School Relationship Manager

We are looking for a proactive, customer-focused professional to join our Education International Sales team as a School Relationship Manager, to play a pivotal role in promoting our educational resources, curriculum, assessments, and qualifications products. This role is based in the UK, but will have regular travels to your designated regions in Europe. You will be the primary contact for schools, managing a portfolio of accounts and delivering tailored solutions through face-to-face and virtual engagements. You will build strong relationships with key decision makers, educational groups, and suppliers, while representing OUP at strategic events.
This role is responsible for achieving sales targets and contributing to divisional objectives by developing and executing strategic sales plans, maintaining accurate pipelines, and identifying new business opportunities. You will act as the first point of contact for customers in your territory, delivering tailored support through field visits, virtual meetings, and events. Your role involves monitoring market trends, providing competitor insights, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and data-driven decision-making. You will manage your own schedule and reporting duties, uphold professional standards, and continuously develop your product knowledge and consultative sales skills to match whole-school needs with effective solutions.
We operate a hybrid working policy that requires a minimum of 2 days per week in the Oxford office.
About YouTo be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to present to large groups.
- Excellent collaboration, influencing and facilitation skills
- Strong negotiation skills and commercial awareness with an attention to detail
- Proven resilience working under pressure.
- Proven experience working with Compliance procedures or in High Risk Environments
- Excellent organisational and planning skills.
- Ability to work and travel independently.
- Sound and up to date understanding of the educational market & international curricula (desirable)
- Experience of working with a CRM system (desirable)
