School Cover Supervisor

Vision for Education is seeking to appoint a Classroom Cover Supervisor to join our successful supply teaching team and to work in local secondary schools across the Preston area for a start in immediately.

Have you worked as a sports coach and would now like to gain experience of working in a school setting?

Are you looking to get into teaching?

The desired Cover Supervisor will be working within a school environment and will be supervising pupils across Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4), providing flexible support to cover short term staff absence. Delivering pre planned lessons, this is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to get into teaching or working within a school.

This role has a flexible starting position and can be either ad hoc, short term or ongoing long term for whatever suits your availability.

You do not need to hold a teaching qualification, but you must demonstrate that you have previously worked with children in any role such as youth worker, sports coach, support worker or voluntary work.

Training can also be provided to help develop behaviour management techniques to use in the classroom.

We work with a number of schools across the Preston area that require support within the classroom.

Requirements

• Have a passion for working with children
• Great classroom management skills
• Experience of working with young people in some capacity, e.g. coaching
• Ideally a degree, but this is not essential
