School Catering Assistants - Temp - Tewkesbury

Berkeley Scott is seeking School Catering Assistants (temporary) to support busy catering teams across primary and secondary schools in Tewkesbury. These roles offer daytime, term time shifts, weekly pay, and holiday pay accrued.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting with food preparation
• Serving meals to students and staff
• Maintaining high levels of kitchen hygiene
• Cleaning and clearing kitchen and dining areas
• Supporting the kitchen team during busy service periods

Qualifications and Experience

• Previous catering or hospitality experience (preferred but not essential)
• Experience in school or contract catering (desirable)
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Professional, reliable, and organised approach
• Positive and enthusiastic attitude

Requirements for Application

• Proof of right to work in the UK - passport, birth certificate or national ID
• Proof of address
• National Insurance number
• Bank details for direct deposit
• Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 2 preferred but not essential)
• Valid Enhanced DBS certificate, or willingness to obtain one

Working Conditions & Benefits

• Daytime, term time shifts - flexible placement across primary, secondary schools and academies in and around Tewkesbury
• Hourly pay between £12.71 and £13.45, depending on experience and site
• Weekly pay and holiday pay accrued
