About the role:
EdStaff are seeking a professional and highly organised school administrator to join a busy office team within a primary school in the Crosby area.
This is an excellent opportunity for a pro-active administrator who has previous experience working within a school environment and is confident managing a variety of administrative duties in a fast-paced setting. You will be the first point of contact for pupils, parents, visitors, and staff and will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the office and efficient administrative support.
The role is full-time and is due to be 1 term long (September - December).
The school are looking for somebody with previous experience working within a school office.
Key responsibilities:
- Welcoming visitors with a warm and friendly presence
- Answering telephone and email enquiries professionally.
- Providing administrative support to the senior leadership team and wider school staff.
- Managing pupil records and maintaining accurate data.
- Processing attendance and admissions administration.
- Handling correspondence, filing, and general office duties.
- Adhere to school policies and procedures, including safeguarding
Person specification:
- Friendly, approachable and welcoming with a professional appearance
- Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.
- Calm and resilient in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to use initiative and solve problems effectively.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with people at all levels.
- High level of integrity and discretion when handling sensitive information
Essential requirements:
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics at Grade C/4 or above
- Previous experience in a school administrative role
- Right to work in the UK
- Enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to obtain one
- Able to provide references to cover the last 2 years
