Job Description
School Administrator - Preston (Secondary School)

Type: Temporary

Hourly Rate: £15 per hour

Responsibilities
  • Provide high quality administrative support to the school office and leadership team.
  • Manage pupil records, attendance, admissions, and data systems accurately.
  • Act as the first point of contact for parents, visitors, and external agencies.
  • Support the preparation of reports, correspondence, and school communications.
  • Assist with safeguarding procedures and ensure compliance with school policies.
  • Work collaboratively with staff to ensure the smooth day to day running of the school.

Person Specification
  • Previous experience in an administrative role, ideally within a school or education setting.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and school based systems (e.g. SIMS or similar).
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • A professional, proactive, and adaptable approach.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • All offers are conditional upon satisfactory background checks, including an enhanced DBS check.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
