What You Can Expect

The SCADA Engineering Advisor will manage all aspects of renewable project engineering design and commissioning oversight activities for utility-scale projects (wind, solar, energy storage) across the US and Canada. This role involves leading the development of ENGIE North America SCADA specifications and serving as a subject matter expert and leader in the field.

The advisor will develop SCADA, PPC, and EMS architecture for new projects, review engineering design drawings, and plan commissioning activities. Key responsibilities include:

  • Project Management & Leadership: Oversee engineering design and commissioning for renewable projects, collaborating with internal teams and external partners throughout the project lifecycle.
  • SCADA Specifications & Design: Develop system architecture, review design drawings, and coordinate commissioning efforts.
  • Subject Matter Expertise & Commissioning: Lead as the SCADA and Controls expert, manage projects, advise on contract options, and assist in hands-on commissioning.
  • Coordination & Standards: Develop and oversee SCADA systems, update standards, and review design submittals.
  • System Integration & Cyber Security: Manage system points and controls, support cybersecurity frameworks, and coordinate with various stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Automation and Controls, Electrical, or related field from an ABET-accredited university or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in designing or commissioning renewable energy projects.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is valued; equivalent experience or certifications are also considered.
  • PMI certification is valued; relevant experience or certifications are welcome.
