We are currently seeking a technically adept and collaborative SCADA Specialist to support the development and integration of control systems in complex offshore energy projects. You will play a vital role in ensuring reliable, safe, and efficient monitoring and control of systems on offshore platforms - from wind farms and hydrogen units to high-voltage substations.
Key Responsibilities
As a SCADA Specialist, you will:
- Design, configure, and implement SCADA systems for offshore energy installations
- Integrate SCADA with subsystems including HVAC, fire & gas detection, switchgear, and safety systems
- Define system architecture and interface requirements for seamless communication between subsystems and the SCADA platform
- Collaborate with automation, electrical, instrumentation, and telecom engineers to deliver integrated control solutions
- Review and validate I/O lists, control philosophies, and functional design specifications
- Ensure cybersecurity compliance, data integrity, and remote access protocols in line with offshore industry standards
- Support FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing), commissioning, and on-site troubleshooting activities
- Act as a technical point of contact for clients, suppliers, and certification bodies during project execution
Your Profile
You are passionate about control and monitoring systems and bring deep technical insight into SCADA integration within an offshore project environment. Specifically, you have:
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Computer Science, or a related discipline
- At least 3-5 years of experience with SCADA systems in offshore, maritime, energy, or infrastructure projects
- Hands-on experience with platforms such as Siemens WinCC, ABB 800xA, Schneider, or equivalent
- Familiarity with communication protocols (e.g., OPC, Modbus, IEC 61850, DNP3)
- Understanding of network topologies, system cybersecurity, and industrial automation architecture
- Strong documentation skills and ability to translate technical requirements into practical system designs
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written
