SC Cleared User Researcher | Inside IR35 | Central Government

SR2 is recruiting an SC Cleared User Researcher to join a central government digital project via a consultancy partner.

You will play a key role in ensuring public services are user-centred, accessible, and aligned with user needs, working closely with delivery teams to shape services that truly work for people.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and conduct user research using a range of methods to gather actionable user insights
• Work within multidisciplinary agile teams to ensure user needs inform service design and delivery
• Present findings and recommendations clearly to stakeholders to influence decision-making
• Align research practices with GDS standards and accessibility principles
• Analyse and synthesise research data to inform service development and continuous improvement

Experience Required:

• Active SC Clearance (essential)
• Strong experience as a User Researcher within public sector projects
• Proven ability to conduct user research across Discovery, Alpha, and Beta phases
• Skilled in a range of research methods, synthesis, and presenting findings
• Experience working within agile, multidisciplinary teams
• Familiarity with GDS guidelines and service standards

Contract Details:

• Rate: Circa £500/day (Inside IR35)
• Length: Up to 6 months initially
• Start: ASAP
• Location: Remote (UK-based)
