The Role
We're looking for an experienced SC Cleared Python Developer to join a high-profile programme delivering secure, scalable solutions within a complex environment. You'll be working as part of a collaborative engineering team, building robust Back End services and contributing to mission-critical systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain Python-based applications and services
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including DevOps, QA, and architecture
• Build and integrate APIs and microservices
• Contribute to system design, code reviews, and best practice standards
• Troubleshoot, debug and optimise performance across applications
• Support secure development practices within a government/defence environment

Essential

• Active SC Clearance
• Strong Python development experience in production environments
• Experience building RESTful APIs and microservices
• Solid understanding of software engineering best practices and design patterns
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP)
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git)
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills

Desirable

• Experience working in government or defence sectors
• Knowledge of containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Exposure to infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
• Experience with data processing or analytics pipelines
• Familiarity with Agile delivery environments

• Hybrid - a few days on-site in the Bristol area on a weekly basis.
