SC Cleared Planning, Scheduling & Reporting Specialist - MoD Programmes

We are partnered with a small consultancy that urgently seeks an experienced SC Cleared Planning, Scheduling & Reporting Specialist to support a high-profile Ministry of Defence programme. This role will be central to ensuring robust planning discipline, accurate reporting, and stakeholder confidence across a complex connectivity programme.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop, maintain, and report on a single, authoritative version of programme planning artefacts, liaising with Fixed Connectivity stakeholders.

Build and maintain resource-loaded schedules, capturing tasks, dependencies, assumptions, risks, and resourcing overlays.

Conduct regular analysis of programme performance, including schedule health checks, risk activity tracking, and dependency management.

Undertake critical path analysis and variance reporting against baseline schedules.

Develop and maintain an Integrated Master Schedule and Fixed Connectivity Plan on a Page.

Integrate risk mitigation plans into schedules and provide early warning of potential slippages.

Coordinate monthly Programme of Record (PoL) reviews, engaging with stakeholders and ensuring assurance for governance boards.

Produce clear and insightful reporting in line with programme governance, including narrative on performance against baselines.

Support the development and mentoring of junior planning team members.
Skills & Experience Required:
-
Strong background in planning, scheduling, and reporting on large-scale programmes, ideally within the Ministry of Defence or wider UK Government sector.

Proficient in planning tools (eg Primavera P6, MS Project or similar).

Demonstrable experience producing and managing integrated schedules with critical path and variance reporting.

Excellent understanding of risk management, dependency mapping, and performance analysis.

Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to provide clear assurance to senior leadership.

Due to the nature of the project, the successful candidate will be required an active SC Clearance before a start.
