SC Cleared Infrastructure DevOps Engineer - VMWare Tanzu, VMWare Aria, Kubernetes

Location: Hybrid - 1 day/week onsite in Corsham

Security Clearance: Active SC required (DV beneficial)

Rate: £450/per day Outside IR35

Length: Till June 2026 + 6 month extension

Fortice are seeking an SC Cleared Infrastructure DevOps Engineer to join a boutique consultancy to support a digital strategy for a defence client.

What You'll Do:

• Manage and enhance the Kubernetes offering

• Automate cloud deployments in a secure, multi-tenant environment

• Develop infrastructure-focused DevOps tooling

• Create and maintain operating procedures, knowledge articles, and system documentation

• Contribute to ongoing design and service improvements

Essential Skills:

• Hands-on experience with VMware Cloud Foundation, Tanzu (IaaS Control Plane, VKS), Aria Automation & Orchestrator

• Strong Linux (Ubuntu preferred) and Windows OS skills

• Familiarity with ITIL service management and security hardening (eg, CIS benchmarks)

• Experience with vulnerability scanning tools (eg, Nessus)

• Proficiency in Terraform, Ansible, and ideally Packer in air-gapped environments

• GITOps experience

Desirable:

• Kubernetes, containers, Tanzu Kubernetes Grid
