Job Description

iO Associates are partnered with a leading R&D organisation in their search for a DevOps Engineer with Active SC Clearance.

You'll be working close to the hardware and operating system, supporting the design, build and automation of the infrastructure.

Location: 2-3 days / week on-site in London
Day Rate: £525 - £600 / day Outside IR35
Contract: 6 Months

What we're looking for:

Strong Linux engineering skills (Ubuntu, RHEL or similar)
Proven experience in on-prem or hardware-adjacent environments
Strong programming/scripting skills (Python preferred, but Bash, Go, or similar also valued)
Good knowledge of DevOps tools and practices (e.g., Ansible, CI/CD, GitLab, Jenkins, Terraform, PowerShell, Git etc.)
Solid understanding of networking fundamentals
A methodical, problem-solving mindset - able to diagnose difficult, low-level issues
Someone pragmatic, collaborative and comfortable working in a fast-moving build phase
