SC Cleared Commercial Category Manager - London - Technology Procurement, Tendering, PCR2015

TrinIT Talent are looking for a SC Cleared Commercial Category Manager to come on board for 6 month contract based in London (minimum 3 days per week in the office). This role is paying £400 per day and falls in scope of IR35.

Job Description:-

There are two of these roles, both six months. You'll sit in a Technology category team and pick up a pipeline of procurements to help clear a busy period. The buying covers IT infrastructure, hardware, software and SaaS, cloud, cyber, data and IT consultancy.

Day to day you'll own assigned procurements end to end. That means writing procurement plans and picking the right route to market, helping business areas pull specs together, producing tender documents with award criteria, commercial models and contract terms, running clarifications and bidder briefings, leading or supporting evaluation and moderation, and drafting and finalising contracts. You'll also publish tender and award notices and hand live contracts over to the contract owner. Plenty of stakeholder work too, with Finance, Legal, Cyber, Technology and ESG colleagues, so you need to be comfortable pushing back when something isn't right.

Key skills:-

* Active SC clearance
* Proven track record managing a pipeline of procurement activity end to end, including tenders, renewals, extensions and amendments
* Technology procurement experience, ideally buying COTS software, SaaS, cloud, hardware, cyber or IT infrastructure
* Good knowledge of routes to market and contract models, including industry standard IT contract terms
* Public sector procurement experience, PCR2015 and knowledge of the Procurement Act 2023 (desirable)
* Strong stakeholder management, with the confidence to challenge
* E-procurement systems such as Proactis or Oracle (desirable)
