Saturday Kitchen Assistant

Overview

We are recruiting for a Saturday Kitchen Assistant to join our team at one of our workplace restaurants in Oakham, LE15 6US. This is a Saturday position, working 8 hours from 8:30am to 3:30pm.

Wilson Vale is an established, quality-led contract caterer. We work with clients across the UK who value great food as part of their culture and community. We operate in office restaurants, independent schools, and conference venues with the same high-end ethos.

Our restaurant is open to both staff and the public, serving breakfast, lunch and light snacks with a menu that includes toasties, sandwiches, a salad bar, cakes, and hot main dishes.

Responsibilities

• Serve customers and operate the till
• Maintain the general cleanliness of the restaurant
• Assist with food preparation and washing up

Skills and Experience

• Experience in a similar role and environment
• High standards of food hygiene and adherence to health and safety rules
• Maintain hygiene standards and keep all areas clean and tidy
• Excellent customer service and social skills
• A can-do attitude and ability to work well as part of a small team
• Willingness to participate as part of the team
