WMS Functional Consultant (D365)

About the Role

An international organization in the digital commerce and logistics sector is seeking an ERP Functional Consultant (m/f/d) to join its internal team of ERP specialists. This role plays a key part in the organization's ongoing transformation to Microsoft Dynamics 365, with a strong focus on optimizing and evolving warehouse logistics processes.

You will be deeply involved in the migration and enhancement of a highly customized Warehouse Management System (WMS) and help strengthen the operational backbone of a fast-growing, technology-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a functional expert for the Warehouse Management System (Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009/Dynamics 365), with a primary focus on inbound logistics processes.
• Lead and execute testing of system developments and customizations to ensure accuracy, stability, and operational efficiency.
• Provide functional consulting to evaluate and improve logistics workflows in line with evolving business requirements.
• Actively support ongoing D365 migration projects, particularly for receive, stow, and inventory-related WMS modules.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, ensuring smooth system evolution and continuous process improvement.
• On-site presence is required at least three days per week under the organization's hybrid work policy.

Qualifications & Experience

Required

• 5 years of experience in ERP consulting or functional support, preferably with Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 and/or D365.
• Solid understanding of logistics operations, especially warehouse processes and related system interactions.
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage stakeholders and communicate effectively across teams.
• Experience working with Jira and Confluence.
• Previous experience in a consulting or advisory role.
• Pharma industry experience.
