SAP Vertex Consultant - Remote (Europe) - 18 months contract

The candidate would focus on the implementation of Vertex in the European countries.

Would support hypercare of countries that went live with R3.5, integrated screening, UAT for the next release, conceptual design (Transaction Flow Matrix mapping), defect analysis and resolution.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, configure and implement Vertex tax solutions integrated with SAP.
• Lead Vertex implementation projects, upgrades and tax transformation initiatives.
• Configure SAP integration with Vertex O Series, Vertex Cloud and related tax engines.
• Analyse business requirements and translate them into functional solutions.
• Configure tax determination for:
• Sales Orders
• Purchase Orders
• Billing
• Accounts Payable
• Accounts Receivable
• Intercompany Transactions
• Credit/Debit Memo Processing
• Configure and maintain tax jurisdictions and tax codes.
• Support SAP S/4HANA Finance transformation programmes.
• Perform functional design, gap analysis and solution workshops.
• Produce Functional Specifications (FS) for developments.
• Work with ABAP developers to deliver enhancements.
• Coordinate testing activities including:
• Unit Testing
• SIT
• UAT
• Regression Testing
• Support production deployments and Hypercare.
• Troubleshoot Vertex and SAP integration issues.
• Liaise with Finance and Tax teams regarding statutory tax requirements.
• Participate in global template rollouts.
• Support system audits and compliance activities.
• Maintain solution documentation and knowledge repositories.

Duration would be from ASAP to End of January 2027. Would like to prolong till Mar 2028.

Skill Set:- Experience with VAT in Europe

Strong experience in Vertex implementation across European countries

Experience with SAP DRC for Tax reporting would be a plus

Location: Remote (working hours in CET time zone)
