SAP Procure-to-Pay Manager

The role

As an SAP Procure-to-Pay Consultant you will lead the design and delivery of procurement transformation solutions for clients using SAP S/4HANA Sourcing & Procurement (MM), SAP Ariba and other procurement technologies.
This is a senior, client-facing role combining SAP procurement expertise, project and team leadership, business process transformation and commercial awareness.
You will be expected not only to understand and design the solution, but also to take ownership of project delivery, manage client stakeholders, oversee the work of team members and contribute to proposals and business development activities.

What you will do

As a Manager, you will:

• Lead the design and implementation of Source-to-Pay and Procure-to-Pay solutions using SAP S/4HANA Sourcing & Procurement (MM) and SAP Ariba.
• Advise clients on how best to transform their procurement processes and technology landscape.
• Understand client business requirements and translate them into practical process and technology solutions.
• Lead or support projects throughout the implementation life cycle, from initial planning and solution design through testing, deployment and go-live.
• Define future ("to-be") procurement processes and recommend appropriate technology and implementation approaches.
• Lead client workshops involving business, IT and senior stakeholders.
• Engage directly with client leadership and decision-makers to present recommendations, resolve issues and support key project decisions.
• Take ownership of project or workstream deliverables, timelines, quality and risks within your area of responsibility.
• Review and oversee deliverables produced by consultants and other team members.
• Coordinate with functional and technical teams responsible for integrations between SAP Procurement and other SAP or non-SAP systems.
• Support testing, change management, training, implementation and go-live activities.
• Produce and review functional specifications, solution documentation, process designs and other project deliverables.
• Coach and guide more junior members of the project team.
• Contribute to proposals by helping define the client solution, delivery approach, scope, effort and project team required.
• Support business development by identifying client needs and opportunities where Deloitte can provide additional value.

What we are looking for

Essential experience and skills

You should have:

• Approximately 6-9 years of SAP procurement experience, preferably within consulting or another client-facing implementation environment.
• Strong hands-on functional knowledge of SAP MM/S/4HANA Sourcing & Procurement.
• Experience with SAP Ariba solutions.
• Strong knowledge of Source-to-Pay and Procure-to-Pay business processes.
• Experience delivering at least two SAP S/4HANA implementation go-lives.
• Experience with end-to-end SAP implementation projects, including requirements gathering, process design, configuration/implementation, testing, training and deployment.
• Experience integrating SAP Procurement with other SAP modules and/or external systems.
• Experience with SAP SRM workflows, implementation and/or support.
• Experience dealing directly with client leadership, senior stakeholders and decision-makers.
• The ability to translate business requirements into solutions and confidently advise clients on the best approach.
• Experience leading a project workstream or coordinating the work and deliverables of other team members.
• Strong workshop facilitation, communication and presentation skills.
• Strong teamwork skills and a willingness to coach and share knowledge with colleagues.
• Professional fluency in English.
• The right to work in Belgium.

You should also be comfortable using Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Experience that is advantageous

The following would strengthen your profile but are not essential requirements:

• SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud experience.
• Experience with other procurement platforms such as Ivalua, Jaggaer or Coupa.
• Broader functional knowledge of SAP modules outside Source-to-Pay, such as FI/CO, Logistics Execution (LE) or Global Trade Services (GTS).
• Broader experience designing SAP and non-SAP integrations.
• French and/or Dutch language skills.
• Experience formally coaching, mentoring or managing junior consultants.
• Experience leading internal initiatives or contributing to capability and team development.
• Business development experience, including identifying opportunities, building client relationships and contributing to proposals.

What success looks like at Manager level

Compared with a Senior Consultant, this role requires greater ownership and leadership. You should be able to:

• Own delivery: Take responsibility for a significant project or workstream and ensure that agreed outcomes are delivered.
• Lead the client relationship: Build credibility with senior client stakeholders and confidently advise them on procurement and technology decisions.
• Lead others: Allocate and review work, coach team members and maintain the quality of team deliverables.
• Shape solutions: Look beyond individual SAP requirements and recommend solutions based on the client's wider processes, systems and business objectives.
• Manage complexity: Identify project risks, dependencies and integration challenges and drive them towards resolution.
• Contribute commercially: Support proposals and recognise opportunities to develop or expand client engagements.
