SAP Merchandise Functional Senior Analyst - based in Madrid

We are looking for an experimented SAP Merchandise Functional Senior Analyst BASED IN MADRID, to be part of our SAP team with the mission of developing, maintaining and supporting Costco Europe's SAP systems environment and related systems.
Work collaboratively with the Merchandise business and IS teams, to deliver exceptional operational support. Assist business staff in developing, implementing, and monitoring policies, procedures, and controls to ensure data accuracy, security, legal and regulatory compliance. Comply with all the change control procedures, work instructions and standard operating procedures in support of existing functionality, requested changes and the development of new functionality.
Main tasks and responsibilities will be:
- Lead and/or participate in requirement sessions by defining and writing specifications, including: configuration, user exit, custom program, and reports.
- Support EU & US IS Business Analysts with design, development and solution management.
- Lead and/or participate in requirement sessions by defining and writing specifications, including: configuration, user exit, custom program etc.
- Gather Functional/Business requirements from users & sponsors.
- Author & communicate Business requirement (BR), functional designs (FD), design and execute system test plans.
- Schedule & perform functional and technical designs walk-through with the development team.
- Execute test plans for functional unit tests, regression tests and system integration tests.
- Identify gaps in business process mappings with the objective of improving the Business processes within our systems.
- Performs systems and data analysis on applications to understand functional design requirements determining how a system should work and how changes in conditions, operations, and the environment will affect outcomes.
- Present, discuss and demo SAP Best Practices.
- Support the development team members during the design & coding phase.
- Work with the Quality Assurance team to conduct functional testing of implemented applications.
- Provide support of SAP applications when moved to production.
- Adhere to team and departmental development standards.
- Demonstrate a logical and structured approach to time management and task prioritization.
- Demonstrate a high level of communication skills, verbal and written.
- Mentoring less experienced team members on SAP configuration concepts and tool suite.
- Participate in team activities and team planning in regards to improving team skills, awareness and quality of work.
- Responsible for continued personal growth in the areas of technology, business knowledge, and Costco policies and platforms.
- Assists teammates in growing and developing the skills necessary to grasp team application concepts and tool suite.
- Identifies and resolves problems often anticipating issues before they occur or before they grow; develops and evaluates options and implements solutions.
- Assist in other areas of the department and other departments of the company when necessary.
Requirements:
- Education: Technical Engineer/Graduate.
- Experience:
- Preferably 5-8 years experience defining SAP business processes, configuring and supporting SAP in a professional environment.
- Experience with SAP S4 HANA, SAP MM, EWM, SAP CAR, integrations with SAP BW/BI/BO and SAP PI/PO.
- Experience with supply chain management processes (inbound and outbound logistics processes).
- Experience with at least 3 full life-cycle implementation projects.
- Experience in successful project implementation and follow-up.
- Knowledge/Skills:
- ENGLISH level: Above B2 (Fluent)
- General understanding of the accounting process.
- Deep knowledge of enterprise-level applications including ERP.
- Team leadership and role-model.
- Strong knowledge of related business and implementation processes with SAP Retail solution.
- Strong understanding of integration between SAP modules and non-SAP systems.
- Ability to be proactive and can assume full responsibility for module development activities.
- Self-motivated, flexible, openness to learn new things, Strong focus on customer needs.
- Must have the ability to work with limited supervision, prioritize according to business needs and exhibit a strong sense of urgency.
- Strong conceptual, analytical, problem-solving, troubleshooting and resolution skills.
