SAP FICA Functional Lead Consultant

Contract: Freelance

Location: Arnhem

Start: asap

End Date: 31 October 2025, with possible extension

Work-type: Hybrid (2 days per week onsite)

Workload: Full-time until end of July; 50% availability from August onwards

Language requirements: Dutch

The consultant will be responsible for leading the SAP FICA (Financial Contract Accounting) workstream, with a strong emphasis on Convergent Invoicing (CI). This is a client-facing role requiring deep functional expertise, leadership in workshops, and configuration responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the functional lead for the SAP FICA stream, serving as the go-to expert.
• Configure and optimize SAP FICA functionalities including:
• Payment processing
• Dunning
• Interest calculation
• Tax handling
• Lead the setup and integration of Convergent Invoicing (CI).
• Conduct workshops and design sessions with business and IT stakeholders.
• Translate business requirements into functional SAP solutions.
• Support UAT, defect resolution, and deployment activities.
• Utilize SAP FIORI apps to enhance user experience and streamline finance processes.
• Provide documentation, training, and knowledge transfer to internal teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience with SAP FICA, including full-cycle implementations.
• Mandatory: Proven experience with Convergent Invoicing (CI).
• Strong grasp of SAP financial processes and FICA integrations.
• Experience leading workshops and working with cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with SAP FIORI and modern SAP UI technologies.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to work independently with strong ownership of deliverables.
• Dutch language fluency is required.
