SAP IS-U Business Analyst (EDM & Device Management)

Very good written and spoken German is mandatory.

Contract Duration: 18 Months

Location: Frankfurt & Munich, Germany (60-70% on-site)

The Role
For our German utilities client, we are seeking a dedicated SAP IS-U Business Analyst to join the team focusing on Energy Data Management (EDM) and Device Management. You will be the crucial link between business stakeholders and the technical team, ensuring that business requirements are accurately translated into technical specifications and delivered in an agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Confidently analyse and harmonise target processes, collaborating with architects and developers to ensure technical feasibility.
• Independently create detailed technical requirements and define user stories (epics) in close partnership with stakeholders.
• Actively support developers and testers by clarifying technical questions and defining acceptance criteria.
• Participate in all agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, planning, and reviews.
• Facilitate knowledge transfer between the project team and subject matter experts.

Required Profile

• Strong knowledge of the energy industry, particularly in device management (SLP, RLM, kME) and smart metering.
• In-depth understanding of EDIFACT formats (UTILMD, MSCONS, etc.).
• Good knowledge of SAP IS-U/S4HANA and end-to-end processes in device management.
• Excellent analytical, teamwork, and communication skills.
• Experience working in agile teams and with tools like Jira and Confluence is a plus.
• Very good written and spoken German is mandatory.
