The Role

We are seeking an experienced SAP HR & Payroll Functional Consultant to join our IT Service Delivery team. The role involves managing HR and Payroll areas of SAP systems that support critical business functions and collaborating closely with IT and business stakeholders for day to day operations and projects.

Your responsibilities

• Provide subject matter expertise and support for the ESB's SAP System.
• Provide end user support for SAP S/4HANA & SAP Cloud, UK & Irish Payroll.
• Provide support for SAP Concur and SAP Success Factors.
• Investigate and resolve support calls raised by the business.
• Work on internal SAP projects and Change Requests as required.
• Identify potential process improvement opportunities across the SAP landscape.
• Liaise with stakeholders during specification, development and testing of enhancements or modifications to the SAP solution.
• Complete knowledge transfer for respective application areas to other members of the ESB team.
• Work alongside Team Leads, Delivery Leads, Functional SME's and Solution Architects to identify and manage risks.
• Managing change request scoping to include:
  • Estimation and design - preparing functional specifications.
  • Implementation - completing system configuration.

Your Profile - Essential skills/knowledge/experience

• Hands on functional experience in SAP ERP/S/4HANA or SAP Cloud, including business process definition, configuration, functional specification, functional/integration/performance testing, regression testing etc.
• Experience gathering business requirements from stakeholders and designing and implementing business solutions.
• Reporting and documentation/writing to meet audit requirements and for smooth transition of projects to support.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interaction with stakeholders at all stages of projects.
• Knowledge of Irish and/or UK payroll required.
• Knowledge of standard testing practices for SAP projects.
• Experience with HP Quality Centre for creating and executing test scripts and defect resolution (advantage).
• Ability to maintain common scoping, design, implementation and test artefacts and templates in line with agreed project definitions.
• Ability to implement technical solutions addressing functional and non functional business requirements.
• Experience on large SAP projects and all phases of the project lifecycle.

Desirable skills/knowledge/experience

• Proven experience with HP Quality Centre (advantage).
• Leadership qualities desirable.
