SAP Finance Application Engineer | SAP FICO - Switzerland - 140,000 CHF per annum - Permanent

SAP Finance Application Engineer | SAP FICO | SAP FI with Record to Report, SAP Analytics Cloud and ideally SAP S/4HANA project experience.

We are working on behalf of our client to recruit an experienced SAP Finance Application Engineer for a key role in an ongoing S/4HANA project. You will collaborate with specialist departments and external partners to implement new financial processes and provide continued system support. Post go-live, you will take responsibility for the operation, customisation, and further development of SAP Finance-based business and customer processes, while coordinating the work of external service providers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as an interface between IT and business departments, providing expert advice to finance and controlling teams on new solutions.
• Ensure seamless integration of finance with purchasing, logistics, and sales.
• Develop efficient reporting solutions within the Record-to-Report process using SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) or Embedded Analytics to support data-driven decision-making.
• Take ownership of system support, ensuring optimal functionality post go-live.
• Coordinate and manage external service providers in the context of SAP Finance.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• A degree from a university of applied sciences or a higher technical college.
• Several years of professional experience in SAP Finance, with expertise in S/4HANA and/or analytics tools being highly desirable.
• Solid experience in one or more of the following: central finance, accounting (AP/AR, general ledger), group consolidation, group reporting, and management accounting (cost/profit centre, project system).
• Experience in data modelling is a plus.
• Strong conceptual and analytical skills, with the ability to grasp complex issues and communicate solutions effectively.
• Solution-oriented mindset with a collaborative, team-focused approach.

Language Skills:

• Excellent German and good English proficiency are essential.
