My client is looking for a SAP EH&S Lead consultant to join a S4 HANA Roll Out project, to be worked fully remote in Europe.

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced SAP EH&S Lead Consultant to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of SAP Environment, Health & Safety (EH&S) solutions. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering SAP EH&S projects, ensuring regulatory compliance, improving operational safety processes, and supporting digital transformation initiatives across global organizations.

The role requires strong functional expertise in SAP EH&S modules, stakeholder engagement, and the ability to lead project teams throughout the full SAP implementation life cycle.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Design & Implementation

• Lead the design, configuration, and implementation of SAP EH&S solutions aligned with business and regulatory requirements.
• Deliver SAP EH&S capabilities including:
  • Product Safety
  • Dangerous Goods Management
  • Industrial Hygiene & Safety
  • Incident Management
  • Risk Assessment
  • Occupational Health
• Translate regulatory compliance requirements into SAP system functionality.

Project Leadership

• Act as functional lead on SAP EH&S projects, managing workstreams and guiding consultants.
• Lead workshops, requirements gathering sessions, and process design discussions.
• Ensure adherence to SAP Activate/Agile/Waterfall methodologies.

Integration & Architecture

• Work closely with technical teams to integrate SAP EH&S with:
  • SAP S/4HANA
  • SAP EHS Management
  • SAP Product Compliance
  • SAP Logistics/Supply Chain modules (MM, SD, PP)
• Support data migration, testing strategies, and system integration.

Compliance & Regulatory Management

• Ensure system solutions support global regulatory frameworks including:
  • REACH
  • GHS
  • OSHA
  • CLP
  • Chemical compliance standards
• Maintain regulatory data and reporting capabilities within SAP.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Serve as the primary EH&S functional advisor for business stakeholders.
• Collaborate with EH&S managers, compliance teams, and IT leadership.
• Provide training, documentation, and post-go-live support.

Quality & Delivery

• Oversee solution quality, documentation, testing, and deployment.
• Support change management and adoption across business units.
• Provide continuous improvement recommendations for EH&S processes.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, IT, or related field.
• 8+ years of SAP consulting experience, with significant focus on SAP EH&S.
• Multiple full life cycle SAP EH&S implementations.
• Strong knowledge of chemical compliance and product safety regulations.
• Experience working with SAP S/4HANA environments.
• Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• SAP certification in EH&S/Product Compliance.
• Experience with SAP Product Compliance for S/4HANA.
• Knowledge of global regulatory frameworks (REACH, GHS, SDS authoring).
• Experience leading international or multi-site SAP implementations.
• Consulting experience within manufacturing, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, or energy sectors.
