Tasks:

• Leading project execution and planning for top priority customer requests in the SAP Enterprise Cloud Services (ECS) context, utilizing skills in Technology and Architecture innovation, and ensuring alignment with the CTO office's strategic direction.
• Managing project scope takeover, reporting on defined work packages and work streams, and applying strong governance skills within program management frameworks.
• Driving Architecture standardization, Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) reduction, and future technology roadmap creation, leveraging deep expertise in ECS CAE processes.
• Coordinating change management and risk management throughout the project life cycle, ensuring successful delivery of Platform MVP and adherence to established processes.
• Supporting the prioritization and enablement of the innovation cycle, collaborating closely with internal development partners to deliver tangible development results and accelerate time to market for new service offerings.
• Facilitating communication and alignment between engineering teams and stakeholders, focusing on Platform enablement and continuous improvement initiatives within the Technology and Architecture Unit.

Skills:

• extensive background in IT Project management (various methodologies)
• experience with Software development methodology is huge advantage (eg SAFe)
• can-do attitude and strong execution focus
• previous experience working with JIRA highly desired
• previous Governance/Continuous Service improvement related experience
• experience with business requirement gather and specification, definition of MVP and further Product increment beneficial
• Hands-on experience with all major Public Cloud Providers as of huge advantage (mostly AWS, Alibaba Cloud is a plus), certification in any technology aspects beneficial but not mandatory
• broad knowledge of Infrastructure automation tools and approaches based on various environments (DC/Public cloud/Private Cloud)
• quick learner and self-starter, accountable for assigned scope with ownership feeling
• experience with mediation/stakeholder management and negotiations skills desired, possible experience with Transition and Transformation types of Projects welcome
• Good organizational and communication skills on various levels, attention for details
• communicating in English fluently is a must, Mandarin Chinese might be beneficial
• good intercultural background and awareness as of global nature of the organization is beneficial
• experience working in Matrix organization beneficial

Background

The CAE Office of SAP Enterprise Cloud Services (ECS) sits at the core of Technology and Architecture innovation for all Private Cloud customers. Technology and Architecture Unit of CTO office drives multitude of Projects and Programs that fueling these innovation ideas into new or improved service offerings consumed directly by our end customers, with strong focus on Architecture, TCO reduction and Strategic direction to form our future Architecture standards. To further speed up the execution engine and shorten time to market for demanded innovations we would like to onboard a TPL (Technical project lead) into Engineering process so we can drive execution and planning of several top priority requests demanded by our customers and approved for development. Additionally, you will support further prioritization and enablement of the Innovation cycle and work closely with our internal development partners to deliver tangible results of the requested development.

One of your main objectives is to support and steer overall Platform enablement specific Project within wider program governance scope. This would include takeover of existing scope of the project, reporting on the defined work packages and work streams, change management and risk management across Project life cycle as well as final deliverable of Platform MVP including future technology roadmap based on established ECS CAE processes.
