SAP ECC Belgium Payroll Consultant - Fully Remote - Part Time

We are seeking an experienced SAP ECC Belgium Payroll specialist to join a highly skilled team supporting a complex international SAP landscape.

This is an opportunity for a senior techno-functional consultant with deep expertise in Belgian Payroll who enjoys solving complex business challenges, advising stakeholders, and driving continuous improvement across payroll processes and SAP HCM solutions.

The successful candidate will act as the go-to expert for Belgian Payroll, working closely with business stakeholders, HR teams, and technical teams to ensure payroll processes remain compliant, efficient, and aligned to evolving business requirements.

THE OPPORTUNITY

This role goes beyond traditional payroll support.

You will be responsible for analysing complex payroll requirements, enhancing existing SAP HCM solutions, advising on legislative compliance, troubleshooting critical payroll scenarios, and helping shape the future direction of payroll processes within a mature SAP environment.

The position would suit a consultant who enjoys combining deep payroll expertise with hands-on SAP knowledge and wants the flexibility of a specialist advisory role.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Act as the subject matter expert for SAP ECC Belgian Payroll
• Advise business stakeholders on payroll process optimisation and best practice
• Analyse and resolve complex payroll calculation and processing challenges
• Design and implement payroll enhancements and configuration changes
• Support legislative updates and compliance initiatives
• Work closely with HR, Payroll and IT teams to translate business requirements into SAP solutions
• Review and optimise payroll schemas, rules and wage type configurations
• Support testing activities for payroll changes and regulatory updates
• Provide technical and functional guidance on SAP HCM Payroll capabilities
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the payroll landscape

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

• Extensive SAP ECC HCM Payroll experience
• Deep expertise in Belgian Payroll localisation
• Proven track record delivering payroll projects, enhancements and optimisation initiatives
• Strong understanding of Belgian payroll legislation and payroll operations
• Experience working directly with payroll and HR stakeholders
• Ability to operate as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
