Job Title: SAP Business Analyst (HCM)
Contract Type: B2B - 12 months + extension
Location: Cork, Ireland (Hybrid - 2 days onsite per week)

Project Overview
We are looking for an experienced Business Systems Analyst with strong expertise in Human Capital Management (HCM) systems - particularly Workday, along with Payroll and Workforce Management (WFM) solutions. The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between HR, IT, and Finance, leveraging technology to enhance business processes, ensure data integrity, and drive continuous improvement across the HR systems landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary liaison between HR, Finance, Payroll, and IT to translate business requirements into functional and technical system solutions.
- Lead requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation for Workday and related HR/payroll systems.
- Collaborate with HR, Payroll, and WFM process owners to identify automation and process optimization opportunities across the employee life cycle.
- Partner with external vendors, systems integrators, and implementation partners to ensure high-quality delivery aligned with business needs and best practices.
- Manage system enhancements, configurations, and change requests through defined change management and governance processes.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, data flow diagrams, and system process maps to ensure transparency and consistency.
- Support ongoing system releases, regression testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT) cycles.
- Ensure data quality, security, and compliance with HR data regulations, including GDPR.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Human Resources, or a related field.
- 8+ years' experience as a Business Systems Analyst or HRIS Analyst within a large or global organization.
- Proven hands-on experience with Workday HCM modules and system integrations.
- Strong understanding of Payroll systems (eg, ADP, SAP Payroll, Workday Payroll, or other regional payroll platforms).
- Solid knowledge of HR data models, compliance (GDPR), and system security principles.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills - including process flows, functional specifications, and test cases.
- Experience managing system enhancements and testing cycles (regression, UAT).
- Outstanding communication and stakeholder management abilities across business and technical teams.
