SAP Basis (System Administrator) Consultant:

eurpeople's customer, a global leading organisation is seeking an experienced SAP Basis Consultant to join their on going assignment in Brussels/Belgium.

Candidates are required to have the following:

• More than 4 years of hands on SAP experience
• More than 6 years of IT experience
• Educated to degree level

Scope of work:

System administration ensures that the needed SAP systems are installed, up and running and prevents any possible technical disruption of productive operations. Ensures availability, confidentiality and integrity of the system and its data.

This includes the following services:

• Install new SAP systems and clients and integrate them in the system landscape (solution manager, transport routes
• Maintain and document the system landscape
• Propose and implement changes to the technical architecture or individual systems. in order to improve the system reliability (logging, monitoring functions. SAP self service services, adaptation of system profiles and parameters, etc )
• Propose, implement, document and execute system administration procedures/instructions
• Update/upgrade existing systems with patches, support packages. enhancement packs and releases
• Copy or refresh test environments optionally including the setup and usage of the Test Data Migration Server (TDMS) data serambling and time slicing services
• Move systems to new hardware or virtualised systems
• Monitor the systems proactively and prevent or report potential issues or problems (health checks for example on performance, disk space, or other technical criteria)
• Monitor the system (CCMS, logs, and other routine checks) and report incidents
• Process identified incidents and service requests related to system administration. such as for example: management of user accounts, or administration of transports.
• Provide assistance during OS upgrades
• Share relevant knowledge with the internal team;
• Plan and explain the best approach for a service:
• Document executed interventions and proposed procedures;
• Evaluate effort of forecasted system administration services:
• Provide technical requirements for the datacenter, which is in charge of the server and network infrastructure;
• Coordination with technical consultants, and the datacenter.
• Senior system administration services should include:
• Technical consulting specialised on Netweaver Application Servers
• All services shall be performed in perfect compliance with the programme quality plan

Due to the nature of the project, onsite presence is required at the customer site, up to 3-5 days per week.

Project language requires FLUENT ENGLISH speakers. Candidates who also speak French will be at an advantage.

The customer WILL NOT consider candidate(s) who DO NOT possess a relevant passport that allows them to immediately travel to the project location. Candidates who require visas, work permits or sponsorship need not apply.
