Job Title : Sales Support Consultant Salary: £49,519 - £61,899 Contract: Permanent Location: Solihull, West Midlands Hours: Full Time, 5 days on site Travel: 0-10% travel with travel primarily within UK and continental Europe Job Reference: R The Opportunity Caterpillar's Sales Support Consultant within the Job Site Solutions (JSS) Business Process Support Team will be focused on the development of region-specific maintenance & repair (M&R) strategies and pricing for JSS commercial opportunities. Additionally, the Sales Support Consultant will support integrated solution pricing and contract drafting for Customers and Cat Dealers in Europe, Africa, Eurasia, and the Middle East. As a member of the JSS Sales Support team, you will need to have a growth mindset, promote continuous improvement, and help build a defect-free culture. Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: Develop maintenance strategy and M&R hourly rates for JSS opportunities identified by the commercial team Support customer-specific asset management strategies for rebuild, repair, or replacement decisions Collaborate with JSS commercial and legal teams to ensure contracts are accurately drafted and legally approved Collaborate with Cat Dealers and JSS Fleet Managers to audit the financial status of M&R contract commitments Maintain and develop Standard Work for regional pricing, contract drafting, and invoicing processes Support the growth of the JSS business model into new countries by collaborating with local accounting and legal teams What skills/experience you will have: Strong Communication Skills - You are confident in both written and verbal communication, able to collaborate effectively across teams and with external partners. Customer Focus: Demonstrates a deep understanding of customer needs and expectations, using this insight to guide business decisions and deliver tailored solutions that enhance customer satisfaction and long-term value. Exceptional Time Management - You thrive in dynamic environments, juggling multiple priorities while staying organised and focused. Industry Experience - You have hands-on experience in heavy industry service operations, bringing valuable insight and practical knowledge to the team. Data Management Proficiency - You are comfortable working with data, using it to inform decisions and drive operational efficiency. Adaptability & Creativity - You embrace change, adapt quickly and make informed decisions under pressure , and bring innovative solutions to complex challenges. Top Candidates will have: Degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related technical field. Strong Interpersonal Skills - You build relationships with ease and are comfortable engaging with Caterpillar and Dealer leadership, as well as cross-functional teams. Experience in Dealer-Facing Roles - Prior exposure to Caterpillar dealer environments is a strong advantage. Familiarity with Caterpillar Systems - Understanding of Caterpillar service tools and systems will help you hit the ground running. Demonstrated experience using M&R rate development tools such as Calculator Web, Service Option Collaborator, AMT, and related systems and methods. Proven background in drafting and finalising contracts , ensuring compliance and alignment with organisational standards and commercial intent.
