Sales Negotiator

Location: London or Leeds (Remote with travel)

Salary: Competitive

Contract Type: Permanent

Working Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday

_

At Ground Control, we partner with some of the UK's most recognisable brands to deliver smart, sustainable external maintenance services - from grounds and landscape management to arboriculture, winter services and beyond.

We're now looking for a confident, driven and people-oriented Business Development Executive to join our central sales function. You'll be supported closely by your manager, working together to build and grow new client relationships across the private sector.

This is a great opportunity for someone in the early stages of their sales career - especially if you're motivated, naturally curious, and eager to grow into a more senior client-facing role.

What you'll do:

Speaking with potential clients - via phone, Teams, or in-person - to introduce Ground Control and explore how we can help

Booking and preparing for client meetings (alongside the team or independently as you grow)

Reaching out to new prospects across key sectors, and following up on warm inbound enquiries

Learning about our different service lines so you can start to spot opportunities for cross-selling and tailored solutions

Supporting the preparation of proposals and client presentations

Using our CRM to keep track of your activity and help build a strong pipeline

What we're looking for:

Some previous experience in a sales, client-facing or business development role

Comfortable speaking on the phone and building rapport - this is a people-first role

Proactive and reliable - the kind of person who says "leave it with me" and gets it done

Eager to learn and grow - we'll support your development, but you'll need to bring the energy and curiosity

Good attention to detail, with solid written communication and organisational skills

Experience using a CRM system is helpful, but not essential

A friendly, team-oriented personality - we have a great team dynamic and want someone who will add to that

What success looks like:

Building your confidence speaking to potential clients across a range of service lines

Regularly booking and joining client meetings with support from the team

Progressively owning your own prospects and contributing to the wider team's revenue goals

Developing your commercial understanding and laying the groundwork to step into a more senior BDM role

Why join us:

Career Development Focus:We're committed to supporting your professional growth with clear career paths, training, and tailored development programs, including our GC Leadership Academy, job specific accreditations and higher education opportunities.

Exciting Growth Opportunities:Be part of a rapidly growing company with a dynamic team and expanding client base.

Collaborative Environment:Work in a supportive, engaging, and innovative culture where your contributions are valued.

Competitive Package:Enjoy a competitive salary and benefits package, along with flexible working options, including:

23 days holiday, Increasing with length of service + bank holidays

Yearly bonus scheme & Share options
