We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join this team in the role of Sales Director and Europe Sector Head, Technology.
In this role, you will:
- Leverage deep sector experience to provide unique solutions catering to the specific opportunities of the TMT sector
- Deliver portfolio and sector revenue growth in line with GTS Europe and Americas targets, whilst ensuring robust profitability and returns
- Maintain a high degree of sales intensity and deepen customer relationships by championing internal collaboration with CIB and transaction banking partners including Global Payments Solutions, Markets and Securities Services
- Cover pan-European mandates for both Europe-headquartered TMT clients and key inbound clients in the sector, including developing and cultivating relationships and opportunities for Regional Treasury Centres
- Demonstrate flexibility and creative thinking when developing market leading sectorised client solutions for trade and working capital, leveraging the full product suite, from documentary trade and guarantees to receivables finance and supply chain solutions
- Represent the sector as a specialist, building the bank's intellectual capital; act as a key point of contact providing sector insights to clients and to colleagues across the bank
- Deliver a market leading customer experience in partnership with colleagues across GTS including client management, implementation, services, risk, product and portfolio management and distribution
- Actively contribute to GTS sales and structuring discussions to elevate the level of client advisory and the delivery of bespoke, structured and sector-specific solutions to clients
- Ensure connectivity to the wider trade finance industry, building thought leadership and adapting to regulatory and market infrastructure changes
- Understand economic trends and their impact on GTS; identify key levers to capitalise on opportunities or minimise downside exposure
- Act as a role model for the Sales and wider GTS Europe and Americas team, ensuring the team actively pursues training and development opportunities
- Work as a player-coach, covering a portfolio of strategic clients and managing a team
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
- Deep sector experience including time spent in industry or working closely with major clients from the TMT sector
- Demonstrated ability to achieve safe and sustainable revenue growth and sales targets through a client and solution-centric approach
- Detailed knowledge of the trade finance business and working capital with sector expertise highly desirable
- Broad corporate/commercial banking and relationship management experience
- Highly developed communication and influencing skills set
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment while making material progress with clients and stakeholders in a complex, matrixed, organizational structure
- Highly developed leadership and management skills, with experience in team building and managing a wide range of priorities
- Awareness of global economic and political factors and their impact on GTS with the ability to anticipate trends and respond proactively
- Able to travel in Europe and to other regions for work commitments.
The role reports jointly to the Head of Sales, UK Non-Ringfenced Bank and to the Industry Head for Technology, Media and Communications.
The base location of this role isLondonoperating a Hybrid working model.
