Job Title: Sales Director - Battery Energy Storage Solutions (Commercial & Industrial)

Location: Madrid, Spain (Remote)

Department: Sales & Business Development


Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Sales Director to lead our sales efforts in the rapidly growing battery energy storage solutions market, focusing on commercial and industrial (C&I) clients. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in selling energy storage systems, a deep understanding of the C&I energy landscape, and strong leadership skills to drive revenue growth, expand market presence, and foster strategic customer relationships.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Sales Leadership: Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to penetrate and grow the C&I battery energy storage market segment.
  • Business Development: Identify, target, and establish relationships with potential clients, including commercial property owners, industrial facilities, utilities, and energy service providers.
  • Customer Engagement: Lead high-level negotiations, proposal development, and presentations to secure large-scale projects and long-term contracts.
  • Market Analysis: Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory developments to identify new opportunities and adapt sales strategies accordingly.
  • Team Management: Lead, mentor, and manage the sales team to ensure achievement of sales targets and professional development.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, project management, marketing, and product teams to ensure customer needs are met and solutions are tailored effectively.
  • Contract Negotiation & Closing: Oversee the entire sales cycle from lead generation to contract signing, ensuring favourable terms and client satisfaction.
  • Performance Tracking: Monitor sales performance metrics, prepare regular reports, and optimize sales processes for continuous improvement.


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Energy Management, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in sales within the energy storage, renewable energy, with a focus on battery energy storage solutions.
  • Proven success in selling to commercial and industrial clients, with a demonstrated ability to close large-scale projects.
  • Deep understanding of energy markets, grid interconnection, and the technical aspects of battery energy storage systems.
  • Strong network within the C&I energy sector and familiarity with relevant regulatory and incentive frameworks.
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Leadership experience with the ability to motivate and develop sales teams.
