Sales Consultant - PPM (Planned and Preventative Maintenance)

Nottingham (NG2) - Commutable to Nottingham

Full Time - £Competitive + Bonus scheme + car allowance

Global Fire and Security Systems, an independent company established in Nottingham since 1999, is a market leader in providing quality product solutions throughout the fire and security marketplace nationwide. We design, install, commission and maintain fire safety, fire suppression and security systems.

We are seeking a Sales Consultant to drive sales for Planned and Preventative Maintenance contracts. The role is based at our Nottingham Head Office with travel to client sites as required. Ideal candidates have field based sales experience in the fire and security industry or a background as a Fire Systems Engineer looking for a commercial role.

Job Purpose

Take full ownership of assigned sales enquiries, conduct site surveys and provide quotations to clients within set deadlines to improve Global's market position and achieve sales growth by developing new relationships and retaining and expanding existing ones across all market sectors. Represent the entire range of company services and secure client commitments.

Responsibilities
  • Own allocated sales enquiries and site surveys.
  • Achieve sales targets and profit objectives set by the company.
  • Promote the company and its products and services at all times.
  • Accurately record and process related documents and records.
  • Produce monthly sales forecasts.
  • Monitor enquiry end dates to meet deadlines.
  • Plan and organise workload effectively.
  • Schedule and monitor demands for sales enquiries.
  • Design and estimate small works Life Safety and Security Systems in line with British Standards.
  • Provide weekly sales enquiry status updates for Department Managers/Directors.
  • Maintain up to date records of contacts and business obtained.
  • Apply all round sales skills such as open questioning and objection handling.
  • Generate and develop business from new and existing clients.
  • Prepare and submit detailed quotations to meet order targets.
  • Address client objections and questions to satisfaction.
  • Build key internal and external customer relationships and identify business opportunities.
  • Stay updated on current market conditions.
Qualifications
  • Field based sales experience within the Fire and Security industry.
  • Alternatively, a current or former Fire Systems Engineer seeking a more commercial role.
  • Experience working to deadlines and meeting agreed targets.
  • Knowledge of Fire Alarm and Security Systems.
